About Litchfield National Park

Litchfield National Park stretches across 1,500km2 of land and is home to spectacular waterfalls, crystal clear natural pools, hiking tracks and century-old termite mounds. It’s a two-hour drive south-west of Darwin, near the township of Batchelor.

Because of its diverse natural landscape, Litchfield National Park is one of the Top End’s most popular tourist attractions. This monsoonal vine forest offers a cool respite on sizzling hot, summer days. Many locals and tourists spend the day hiking, swimming and sightseeing before choosing to stay overnight in one of the campgrounds.
